Much Prayer Much Power!

Last week, just two days before traveling from Colorado to Tennessee for what was meant to be a fun family trip, my brother-in-law Bobby experienced severe chest pain. His wife, Janice, took him to the doctor, and after a series of tests, the initial diagnosis was liver cancer.

Originally from Tennessee, Bobby expressed a strong desire to seek care in Nashville. With the help of several people, we were able to get him registered at the Cancer Center at Vanderbilt. A family friend had a cancer doctor reviewed his records and shared concerns that were not encouraging. However, we remain hopeful.

Next week, Bobby is scheduled to see both a liver cancer specialist and a surgical oncologist. Thanks to a compassionate staff member at Vanderbilt, his case has been marked “Priority,” and today they asked that we move quickly—he is currently on his way to undergo a biopsy.

Despite everything, Bobby has been eating well and keeping a positive attitude. He’s in the middle of fulfilling a lifelong dream of building a log cabin in Colorado. He’s also a proud grandfather and has every intention of fighting through this.

Please keep Bobby, Janice, and the entire Edwards and Casteel families in your prayers. We’re all feeling the weight of uncertainty and would deeply appreciate your support.

Thanks to each of you and your families and friends.
